Voize today was given a treat by the Manhattan Fish Market, situated in Sunway Pyramid. The Manhattan Fish Market concept was conceived over 180 years ago, with fresh seafood being sold under the Brooklyn Bridge, in what was called the Manhattan Fish Market on Fulton Street. This has been the inspiration for Malaysia’s adaptation of the fresh seafood platter experience.
Among dishes we were treated to were: Manhattan Fish & Chips, its signature dishes Grilled Gala Platter and the Manhattan Seafood Platter (with flamed prawn right in front of our eyes), the Fettucine with Carbonara, and the Fried Country Mushroom.

Manhattan Fish & Chips
The two signature dishes were truly a sight to behold owing to its size and amount – pure solid seafood with prawns, fish, calamari rings, and mussels. This came with garlic buttered rice and chips.

Fried Country Mushrooms
Manhattan Fish Market emphasises the dining experience which includes entertainment for the customer, hence the flamed prawns and the use of steel skillets to serve dishes. It also serves dishes which intend to communicate visually such as the Garlic Butter Mussels, Sizzling Louisiana Prawns, and the award winning Flaming Prawns (also a signature dish).

Thew restaurant imports its seafood items from abroad and has introduced 4 additional selections of fish – the Pacific Cod, the New Zealand Ling Cod, the Saithe (Coley), and the Grouper.
Manhattan Fish Market, founded as a homegrown brand, has now 29 restaurants in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia, with plans to expand in Indonesia and the Philippines.

Really makes me laugh when I read this “The two signature dishes were truly a sight to behold owing to its size and amount – pure solid seafood with prawns, fish, calamari rings, and mussels. This came with garlic buttered rice and chips.”
The serving portion is just average, nothing BIG. What misrepresentation.
