Introducing the Xiawa Dressroom

Web designer and now online boutique owner,  Xiawa Eve has recently started her very own clothing business, the Xiawa Dressroom. She is also, to the Chinese language audience, a rather popular blogger and artist who has her own following. What’s more interesting is that Xiawa used to be Voize.my’s very own web designer.

1. What inspired you to create the Xiawa Dressroom?
A boring life, lolx.

I got highly interested in the fashion industry, I always dreamt of having my own boutique (even my own brand!) before I set up Xiawa Dressroom Online Fashion Shop, but I lacked money to have my own boutique. After working as a Web Designer for about 1 year, I decide to utilize my skill into this industry. I am an online shopping addicted girl, so why not I have my own online business?

I spent zero on setting up Xiawa Dressroom because it is a subdomain of my personal blog – Xiawa.my(http://xiawa.my) which did not require me to pay for it again since the earnings from my blog are enough to cover it. And I did not need to hire somebody to help with Xiawa Dressroom design because I am the one who does it.

After 1 month of planning, Xiawa Dressroom was launched

2. What kind of clothing do you sell?
Sweet and Sexy. But besides the style of clothing, I pay more attention to the quality of clothing. Many of us have bad experiences with online shopping, sometimes I just get cheated by their extremely nice photos, and am shocked when I receive a piece of bad material or cutting – it is totally different from the one worn by the model!

Therefore, I insist on selling high quality clothing only, and present my items with their “reality look”, not with over edited pictures. I don’t want my customers to feel cheated when they shop from me, although selling low quality apparel might make more money, but that is not the point.

3. Who is your target market?
Every girl who wants to be pretty!! And wants to enjoy shopping in a trust-worthy online fashion shop

4. What are the styles inspired by?

The styles for my shop is an idea from “Dressroom”. You can find a lot of hangers, button, suture and lace in the interface. I am trying to create a feel for Xiawa Dressroom which is sweet, soft, and cute. Different from other online shops which are all using the same template and design, I made Xiawa Dressroom with its own style and looks. You can easily know you have come to the right place

5. What is the price range of items at Xiawa Dressroom?
You won’t find any extremely expensive or cheap item in Xiawa Dressroom. I insist to sell high quality apparel, and believe every girl deserves to dress herself well no matter how rich or poor she is. Therefore, “Reasonable” is my principle when setting a price for each item.
