VOIZE interviewed Dr. Bruce Mate, of the Hatfield Marine Science Center, Oregon State University who was behind the filming of National Geographic’s Big Blue. He spoke on issues such as how the CritterCam, a “first-person view” camera is attached to the endangered blue whale’s body, to what extent the blue whale species is facing extinction, and other interesting facts viewers of this programme can look out for, eg. the CGI of the whale’s internal body. Big Blue will air on Astro’s National Geographic Channel 553, on 4th April at 7 pm, and once again on 12 April at 8 pm.
