The Korea Products Show and Business Meeting once again took place in Kuala Lumpur for the 4th time since 2005. Funded and conceptualised by the Chungnam Provincial Government, Korea, and co-organised by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) and Small and Medium Business Corporation (SBC) Korea, the event featured a wide variety of Korean products. It was organised for the sole purpose of drawing attention and wooing overwhelming market awareness amongst Malaysians, upon the state-of-the-art technologies and rousing innovativeness of products from Chungnam Province being introduced and showcased in the said show, and promoting mutual prosperity between the Korean and Malaysian business communities.
The event was officiated by Y.B. Senator Heng Seai Kie on 11th November (Wednesday) at 10 a.m. at Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur and * H.E. Mr Chae Hoon (Vice Governor of Chungnam Province, Korea) as well as H.E. Mr Yang Bong Ryull, the Korean Ambassador to Malaysia.
42 companies were selected to represent Chungnam Province in South Korea to exhibit and conduct business talks with potential Malaysian small, medium and large corporations. These companies significantly represent the latest and vital industries in Chungnam Province, which has deployed their future plan of provincial development with central attention on stimulating the growth of the province from the aspect of information technology (IT), biotechnology (BT) and nanotechnology (NT). The provincial government therein has also demonstrated their endeavours in developing the province a ‘green-based’ industrial hub in the central heart of South Korea.
