Mr.Energizer, the official mascot for the Energizer Night Race 2010 has a field day with 45 enthusiastic loyal fans from Facebook sweating it out at Celebrity Fitness in a bid to be the fittest of all leading up to the greatest night race in the country.
The workout session dubbed ‘Mr. Energizer Shape-Up Sunday Challenge’ sponsored by Energizer, Gatorade and Schick called for entries on the mascot’s fan page in Facebook and within a few hours, a barrage of loyal fans responded and asked for a chance to be up-close and personal with the mascot.
In order to earn a place in the challenge, the fans needed to post a message in Facebook that says:
“I Want To Shape It Up With Mr.Energizer.’’ The first forty-five fans were since informed of their chance to participate in the challenge at Celebrity Fitness gym in Mid Valley Megamall. They will battle it out on eight activities: 1km on bike, 10 bench press reps, 10 squats, 10 sit ups, 1km on treadmill, 5 chin ups, 10 reps on row machine and bench dips for the chance to win prizes sponsored by Energizer which include freeventry to the Energizer Night Race 2010 and other prizes from Gatorade and Celebrity Fitness.
Energizer, the title sponsor for the inaugural night race says they are pleased with the overwhelming postings for their friendly mascot since going live on Facebook.
“We are delighted that our mascot Mr.Energizer has attracted so many people on Facebook and that these fans are sincerely looking for an opportunity to meet the mascot and have a workout challenge with him,’’ says Joshua Leong, brand manager for Energizer Malaysia.
The mascot is equally pleased to have garnered such a huge following and is set to delight his fans not only on the workout session but on the marathon circuit come March 27 at Cyberjaya.
Gatorade, the official sports drink sponsor for the Energizer Night Race 2010 says the pre-event is a creative, fun way to boost excitement leading up to the event proper.
