Meet and Greet session with the stars
Held at the Sunway Convention Centre last Saturday, the exclusive Closed Door Event, which was organised by Astrolife and Astro on Demand saw many fans both young and old gathering to catch a glimpse of their favourite idols on stage. It was a star-studded moment that everyone present would likely never forget. Hong Kong TVB actors and actresses, Kevin Cheng, Tse Suet Sam, Joe Ma and Sharon Chan were in town to promote their new dramas— “Beyond The Realm of Conscience” and “Born Rich.”
Excitement, fun and anticipation were in the air as the fans sat patiently waiting for their idols to arrive. When it was time for the four stars to make their appearance on stage, the crowd wasted no time in snapping away their idols’ pictures, applauding and shouting at the same time. Local talents like Ryan Thoo (ASQ 09 3rd runner up), Chen Keat Yoke (ASQ 09 2nd runner up and ICNTS champion), Alex Siew (CGM champion) and Irene Wong (CGM champion) were present to grace the event with their melodious tunes.
Games were played, stories were shared and interaction was exchanged between the stars and their fans during the event. Most of the fans that came were excited to see their favourite, Kevin Cheng in person. A random street interview was done and we asked the fans who they wanted to meet the most and which is their favourite drama series; and this is what they had to say:
“I came to see Kevin Cheng, of course! I like both of the series (“Beyond The Realm of Conscience” and “Born Rich”) because all of the portrayals look real to me. From their costumes to the character they played, it’s all very convincing.”
(Corina Ho, 40, Housewife)
“I especially like Tse Suet Sum and Kevin Cheng. I think both of their performances here are okay. I like “Beyond The Realm of Conscience” because it offers a fresh point in story-telling. Instead of the usual plot we see on TV, this drama to me is something different.”
(Foo Beng Choo (L), 50, Restaurant Owner)
“No doubt, that it has to be Kevin Cheng. Not only that he is good-looking, but he is very good in his acting. I like “Beyond The Realm of Conscience” but I was slightly disappointed because Charmaine Sheh is not able to make it for this event.”
