Author, archeologist and businessman Semir Osmanagi? a Bosnian, has uncovered archaeological secrets throughout the Globe. Mr. Osmanagi? visited Limkokwing University to speak to students about one of the Seven Wonders of the World; the pyramids. Dressed in safari garb it is no wonder he is often referred to as “the Living Indiana Jones”.
He began the talk by instructing students to be open-minded. “You as young, creative people, need to question everything you hear. Question what I say today.” The talk involved various intriguing and unknown facts about the magnificent structures generally understood to exist only in Egypt. But Mr. Osmanagi? knows better.
“What they teach us is that the pyramids were built in Egypt and some in Mexico. But the pyramids have also been built everywhere else in the world.”
Mr. Osmanagi?’s most prized discovery is the existence of pyramids in his homeland Bosnia. One such pyramid known as the Bosnian Pyramid is located in the town of Visoko. Because of its similarities to the Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan, Mexico, it has been named the “Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun”.
“You know Bosnia because of the war, violence and all these problems in the last 15-20 years. The time has come to change the perception and image of Bosnia. Instead of sending negative news to the world, we want to send positive news.”
Mr. Osmanagi? has made other pyramid discoveries in countries like Peru, Bolivia, Easter Island, Costa Rica, Mexico, United Kingdom, France Germany Malta, Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon. He has authored and narrated 12 episodes of the documentary, “Search for Lost Civilization” which was based on his book, “Civilizations before the official history”. Mr. Osmanagi? extended an invitation to all students to volunteer in the excavation of the Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun from the months of June-September. The non-profit and non-governmental Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun Foundation has organized an international summer camp which will consist of excavation, restoration, and long term protection of the three ancient pyramids and will be a unique experience for all volunteers to aid in promoting and improving the tourism infrastructure in Visoko. Accommodation, food and transport will be provided. Go to the website www.bosnianpyramid.com for further details on how to apply.
