Parents and school children have much to cheer about this school holiday as they can continue fun-learning with Kampus Astro’s new School Holiday Calendar.
The calendar features 45 days of programmes and on-ground activities for each and every day of the school break, presented by Astro TVIQ, Astro Xiao Tai Yang, Chutti TV and AstroLife Events. With lessons on science, art and crafts, language, money management, baking and more, the calendar will serve as a fun way for school children to fill the holidays, and also an avenue for parents to spend more quality time with their kids.
Yasmin Megat, Head of Education said “At Astro, we believe that even though school stops, learning doesn’t have to. Learning is a continuous journey, and it’s important to instill this in children. This year, we revamped Astro TVIQ to become a fun-learning destination for kids, featuring entertaining shows that complement school subjects like Science, Maths, Bahasa Malaysia & English, and also skills important in later life, like creativity and entrepreneurship. We’ve also introduced new local learning programmes on Xiao Tai Yang. It seems quite a number of Malaysian children have embraced this fun-learning approach, as we’ve seen a growth of 130% in viewership of TVIQ plus a 91% increase in viewership of Astro Xiao Tai Yang over last year.
She added, “The Kampus Astro School Holiday Calendar takes fun-learning to the next level. We will offer on-screen and offscreen experiences on 3 channels, 4 languages, for all 45 days of the holiday.”
The key highlights of this calendar include some of the world’s best kids’ edu-tainment programmes, which will air on three channels, Astro TVIQ, Astro Xiao Tai Yang and Chutti TV in English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin and Tamil. Kids can become C.S.I-style detectives right in their own home and learn science at the same time!
