9 hours of rock at ROCKAWAY 2009 free concert!

Popular Malaysian independent rock band, One Buck Short and Jack n’ Jill Rollercoaster present nine hours of pure adrenaline-pumping rock music performances with FREE live concert, ROCKAWAY 2009 on 20th June 2009 at CapSquare in Kuala Lumpur from 1pm until 10pm.

This marks the first time a band organises a rock concert. In conjunction with World Music Day, the line-up includes:

The concert will also be broadcast through their portal www.rockaway2009.com in a delayed footage streamed LIVE from the venue. The portal also contains live tracks, artist interviews and behind-the-scenes footages, in conjunction with broadcast media partner Astro HITZ (radio and television) and youth radio channel, X-FM.

Both One Buck Short and Jack n, Jill Rollercoaster, a potato rings brand under URC Foods Sdn Bhd intend to grow this event into a full-scale rock festival so that independent artists of any genre can gain more exposure and appreciation on their music.
