Former BBC correspondent Avanti Kumar, who has also written a number of screenplays, short stories, and is now working on a book of fiction, has recently released his book The Science of Happiness. It is intended to communicate to us the techniques of increasing creativity and productivity through attaining self-happiness. The book is especially poignant at a time of economic turbulence. Avanti also has writings available on his website, www.avantikumar.com, in which one can find two unique short stories ‘The Nose’ and ‘The Noose’, interestingly sharing nearly similar names. He is now an editor for ComputerWorld Magazine and consults on IT. Rachel Chan speaks to Avanti Kumar on his reason for writing the book, and how he came to perfect the Science of Happiness.
