Jeevaratnam, along with the other 9 Rising Stars, were challenged to design a dress for a doll inspired by the limited edition BlackBerry and iPhone skins. On a strict budget of RM 800, Jeevaratnam crafted a dual length white gown with voluminous draped bodice. The gown was inspired by the Iphone 3GS skin which featured a cherry blossom garden with the stork’s silhouette. He envisioned the design to be worn by women in the position of power, “the design is for elegant CEOs.”

“She earns a lot, she seeks refinement and she is a chameleon,” he added.

The Rising stars also showcased a six piece collection in human scale on 5 November 2009 at Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur. Jeevaratnam sent down a constructive collection inspired by military authoritative figures in simple tones of black and white. 6 out of the 10 Rising Stars were chosen from Limkokwing University, including Andy Yap Hock King, Ferris Hafizi, Koh Jee Yin, Aisya Hanem, Winnie Leow and Jeevaratnam.
